Q: Which languages does PersonsDatabase support?
A: Latest distribute package includes languages:
English, Bulgarian, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Russian, Swedish, Dutch, Italian, Chinese (Simplified), Portuguese and Romanian.
You can also download all language files separately from here.
Simply unpack these language files to the same folder where is located PersonsDatabase.exe and restart PersonsDatabase program.
New language options appears to PersonsDatabase program's Actions->Language selection menu.
Q: PersonsDatabase program is not translated to my own language. Can I do it myself?
A: Yes, you can. Simply copy some existing language file so that new language file gets filename in format: yourlanguage.language and add translations inside file to this new language.
And we would be very happy when you can
send this translated file to us
too. :)
Q: To where is my entered data saved and how I can make backup of it?
A: All data entered using PersonsDatabase program is saved into single file named pdb.mdb and located in the same directory as PersonsDatabase.exe itself.
You can backup your data by copying this file to some safe location.
Also remember to preserve your database (pdb.mdb file) when you are upgrading PersonsDatabase program from earlier version to new, because new version is deployed with empty database!
Q: How can I add a picture?
A: Save person first and then choose from menu: Actions->Add photo...
Alternatively you can drag and drop picture directly into the picture box. Person data must be saved first also in this case.
